81 homes.
One connected upgrade.
Broad Oak renewed the communal heating network serving 81 sheltered housing dwellings in Edgeley, combining plant room, distribution and in-home upgrades across four occupied residential blocks.
The challenge.
Understood.
Ageing communal heating needed replacement across four occupied residential blocks. The work had to connect central plant with individual homes, with the programme coordinated around residents and their essential heating and hot-water services.

Expertise.
In every detail.
Appointed by FairHeat on behalf of The Guinness Partnership, we upgraded the plant rooms at Trent Court and Kinder Court and renewed the network serving the estate. Our team installed high-efficiency boilers, thermal stores and building management controls alongside new distribution mains, risers and dwelling connections. New heat interface units brought the central network into individual homes for heating and hot water. We coordinated the plant, pipework, controls and in-home installations as one programme, taking the completed network through testing and commissioning in an occupied residential setting.
- Plant rooms refurbished at Trent Court and Kinder Court
- High-efficiency boilers, thermal stores and BMS installed
- Distribution mains, risers and dwelling connections renewed
- Heat interface units installed for heating and hot water
- Network testing and commissioning
The difference.
Delivered.
The estate now has a modern low-temperature network connecting central plant to 81 homes. Integrated controls and renewed distribution infrastructure give the housing provider a stronger foundation for day-to-day operation, future maintenance and the introduction of lower-carbon heat.
