A working court.
A modern heating system.
Broad Oak completed a heating retrofit at Bradford Magistrates’ Court through night-time installation, modernising the plant room and distribution system around the demands of an operational justice building.
The challenge.
Understood.
A confined plant room, legacy heating and a secure working environment made this a demanding retrofit. Installation had to be coordinated outside normal court hours while preparing the building for district heating.

Expertise.
In every detail.
Working with FairHeat, we delivered the installation through night shifts, bringing plant room and distribution upgrades together within the court’s operating constraints. We reconfigured the plant room pipework and common return header, installed high-efficiency pumps and pressure-independent control valves, and renewed the low-temperature hot-water riser and branch distribution. Heat metering, monitoring and hydraulic balancing completed the upgrade, giving the building a more coordinated heating system. Our team connected the plant, distribution and controls within a single, coordinated retrofit.
- Night-time installation within a secure court building
- Plant room reconfiguration and common return header
- High-efficiency pumps and pressure-independent valves
- New heating riser and branch distribution
- Heat metering, monitoring and hydraulic balancing
The difference.
Delivered.
The court gained renewed heating infrastructure with better control and visibility of system operation. The completed work supports lower-temperature heating and prepares the building for connection to the Bradford Energy Network, with the installation delivered around its working hours.
